Frequently Asked Questions

How is cost determined for Mobile Kitchens, Temporary Kitchens, Modular Kitchens, or Kitchen Trailers?
Cost is determined by the type and size of the unit(s) as well as the lease term of the unit(s) that are provided.

How is the size of the unit(s) determined?
The size of the unit(s) is determined by type of food service operation, the number of people that need to be fed each meal, and the number of meals/day.

Is a down payment required?
Yes. A down payment of the first month’s rent, Security/Cleaning Deposit (Refundable), and Delivery Fees will be required before the delivery of the unit(s).

How is the temporary kitchen unit(s) transported?
Transportation is provided by national trucking companies that are hired by Kitchen Corps, Inc. Fuel charges will be included in transportation costs. Transportation quotes will be presented with the quote to lease a temporary unit(s) and are generally good for 30 days due to the fluctuations in fuel prices.

Can the temporary kitchen unit(s) be moved more than once?
If the unit(s) needs to be moved after initial set up, the client will need to notify Kitchen Corps before a lease agreement is signed so that a proper transportation cost can be provided. Additional transportation will incur additional set up charges.

Who will set up the temporary unit(s)?
A Kitchen Corps technician will come on site to supervise a local set up crew that is familiar with local codes and regulations.

What happens after set up?
After set up of a mobile kitchen, temporary kitchen, modular kitchen, or kitchen trailer, a Kitchen Corps technician will instruct client employees how to operate the unit(s), fire off all equipment to ensure it works properly, and answer any other questions the client may have.

Who is responsible for the utility connections to the unit(s)?
Clients are responsible for bringing utilities (gas/electric/water/sewage) to the temporary kitchen. Utilities have already been run within the unit(s) and most have a single point of connection. Please inquire with your Sales Representative for a temporary unit(s) that is powered by a generator.

What is the availability of the unit(s)?
As much notice as possible is preferred. A formal notice is in the form of a signed contract. Our response time is based off of the availability of the unit(s) and is first come, first served. Availability is discussed during lease agreement negotiations.

What is your response time in the event of a disaster?
Click here to view our nine-minute video detailing how Kitchen Corps answered the call of a university in distress after a fire devastated its dining hall. Much of our disaster relief work is done in states like Florida, FL, Texas, TX, Louisiana, LA, and California, CA, which experience a high number of natural disasters.

What are your lease terms?
Kitchen Corps leases on a monthly basis for mobile kitchens, temporary kitchens, modular kitchens and kitchen trailers. The length of the lease agreement is determined before the lease agreement is signed and the unit(s) is delivered. Options to extend are available. Extensions can be for a set amount of time or on a month-to-month basis.

Does the temporary unit(s) come with equipment?
Unit(s) will come fully equipped with all necessary equipment. Small wares will need to be provided by the client unless otherwise noted in the lease agreement. Equipment lines are determined by the client during lease agreement negotiations.

What happens if the equipment does not work?
Customers have the option to have a preventative maintenance agreement with Kitchen Corps. If the customer opts to not have a preventative maintenance contract with Kitchen Corps, the customer may contact a repair company directly or contact Kitchen Corps who will then coordinate repairs.

Does each unit(s) have a refrigerator?
All production kitchens come with an 8’ x 10’ walk in cooler. Individual walk-in coolers/freezers are available. Sizes may vary. Inquire with Sales Representative.

How much work space is available?
Each unit(s) is unique. Please review the diagram provided by Sales Representative to determine how much work space will be available in your unit(s).
